  1. Administer and manage the enforcement of the Statutory Bodies (Discipline and Surcharge) Act 2000 [Act 605];
  2. and managing legal matters handled by a panel of lawyers, especially for litigation and conveying problems;
  3. Drafting, reviewing and implementing negotiations related to legal documents including but not limited to Memorandum of Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding and others involving the University;
  4. Assist in counseling staff and student discipline;
  5. Help draft and amend the Constitution, Statutes, Rules, Regulations, policies, policies, guidelines and others related to UTeM;
  6. Manage cases of breach of contract such as:
    • Scholarship Agreement;
    • Premature resignation notice;
    • Rental Agreement; and
    • Procurement Agreement
  7. Monitor the implementation of contract management and compliance through the Contract Management & Compliance System (SPPK) and Contract Compliance Audit.
  8. Administer and handle the affairs of the University's legal document stamping as well as monitor the payment of Stamp Duty to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
